My story starts on a family farm in rural Minnesota. My dad was a fifth-generation farmer; dairy cows, organic crops, oh-my! Back then I wasn't aware that I was living the current millennials dream. We had a garden full of fresh vegetables, some fruit trees, and fresh milk from our own dairy. Hard times for a small operation moved both my parents from a self-sustaining at-home lifestyle to full-time jobs with a long commute. My sister and I went from homeschool to classrooms and our entire lifestyle changes drastically. By the time I was in the 9th grade I was over 240lbs with a 40in waist. I was constantly getting injured trying to keep up with my peers. Thanks to some teachers and mentors I was introduced to Acro Sport and physical exercise and I began my personal health journey.
I have spent over a decade working in the Health and Fitness field working as a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and coordinating corporate wellness programs in Knoxville, TN. Professionally speaking I was feeling on top of the world. However, I was burning the candle at both ends. My sleep was trash, I was running on caffeine and trying to ignore the stress. After my first child was born in 2021, I chose to cut back and be at home with my kid and that's when I came to realize how unprepared I really was for the real world. Three years later and I have added one more child to my resume and I am ready to share what I have learned with others. I am deeply devoted to helping driven individuals who care about their careers, families, and health to thrive.

"This certification helps coaches understand the spectrum of stress and recovery work, and how sleep functions as part of a broader recovery plan that also includes nutrition, movement, and stress management techniques. Graduates have learned the science of sleep, stress, and recovery across six key domains of health (physical, mental-cognitive, emotional, social-relational, existential, and environmental). After building out a personal “rest, recovery, and resilience” (3R) plan throughout the certification, graduates will be able to apply key tools, skills, practices, and daily actions to help clients manage their stressors, sleep better, and recovery more effectively."

"This certification brings together the science of nutrition and the art of coaching. Graduates understand key physiological and biochemical processes and principles of nutrition, such as digestion, energy balance, nutrient transport, and the value of macro- and micronutrients. They are able to apply these in real-world situations, such as performance nutrition for athletes, dietary modifications for particular needs and preferences, or simply helping people learn and practice healthy habits.
